Sr. No. 21 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU (Through Virtual Mode) CPSW 210/2016 MOHD.YOUSAF …Petitioner(s)/appellant(s) Through: None Vs.
SHALEEN KABRA,SECY.EDUCATION AND ORS. ...Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Sagira Jaffer, Assisting Counsel vice Ms. Monika Kohli, Sr. AAG CORAM:
HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE O R D E R 17-04-2026 The petitioner had prayed for initiation of the contempt proceedings against the respondent authorities on account of willful/intentional defiance of the order dated 29.05.2015. A bare analysis of the order, referred to above, reveals that the matter was disposed of by the Single Bench with the direction to respondent 3 and 4 to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner as contained in the writ petition (Annexure A1) with liberty to the petitioner that in case he is not satisfied with the decision taken by the authorities on his representation, he would be free to assail the same in accordance with law. The petition at hand is pending for the past 10 years. Though the matter had been called twice since morning, none is present on behalf of the petitioner to pursue the same. That being so, the Court is choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
(ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE SRINAGAR 17-04-2026 Aadil Aadil Hussian Bhat I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
