Sr. No. 42 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU (THROUGH VIRTUAL MODE) CPSW 250/2016 IN[SWP 1936/2015] AVTAR SINGH AND ANR. …Petitioner(s)/appellant(s) Through: None Vs. RAJIV MALHOTRA,CHIEF ENGINER,PHE.AND ORS ...Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Sagira Jaffer, Assisting Counsel vice Ms. Monika Kohli, Sr. AAG CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE O R D E R 17-04-2026 The petitioners, vide this petition, had prayed for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent authorities on account of willful defiance of the interim order dated 14-07-2015. An analysis of the order referred to above reveals that the MP No.01/2015 was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider the claim of the petitioners for release of their pay for the post of Pipe Fitters strictly under the rules. Compliance report on behalf of respondent No.4 has since been filed. Per which the authorities upon scrutinizing the service record of the petitioners and SRO 380 of 1989 i.e., J&K PHE Department (subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules, 1989, rejected the claim of the petitioner(s) being devoid of merit. That being so, nothing substantive survives in the petition and the same is accordingly disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. (ARUN PALLI) CHIEF JUSTICE SRINAGAR 17-04-2026 Aamir
