On 15.04.2026, when the appeal was listed for hearing, learned counsel for the appellant represented that the whereabouts of the appellants were not known. By order, dated 27.04.2016 the Combined High Court granted bail to the appellant. Thereafter, the appellant never appeared before the court. Consequently, by order, dated 15.04.2026, this court issued bailable warrants to the appellant. 3. Today, when the appeal is taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced written instructions furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Razole Police Station, Dr.BR Ambedkar Konaseema District, stating that the appellant died on 24.12.2016. He also annexed the copy of the appellant’s death certificate along with the instructions. 4. In that view of the matter and in view of the death of the sole appellant, the Criminal Appeal is liable to be dismissed as abated. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Appeal is dismissed as “abated”. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
