CORAM:
HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE
O R D E R 17-04-2026
The petitioner, vide this petition, had prayed for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent authorities on account of willful defiance of the order and judgment dated 22-05-2015. An analysis of the decision referred to above reveals that the petition preferred by the petitioner was disposed of by the Writ Court with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider his claim in the wake of the directions issued by the Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition No.7612/2003 (State of Jammu & Kashmir and others Vs. Vijay Sharma and others). And pass appropriate orders within two months. The petition at hands is pending for over a decade. None is present either on behalf of petitioner to point out if anything actually survives in the matter. That being so, the Court is choice less but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
