The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the seniority list/order dated 28.03.2016 (Annexure P-6), prepared by respondent No.5, whereby the joining date of the petitioners has been wrongly mentioned as 25.02.2009 instead of 10.04.2000; for quashing the advertisement dated 01.05.2016 (Annexure P-7), issued by respondent No.3, whereby recruitment for the 62 posts of Assistant Field Officers in place of the petitioners has been advertised and for quashing the order dated 23.06.2016 (Annexure P-8), passed by respondent No.3, vide which the claim of the petitioners to assess their seniority on the basis of their joining date as VINAY 2026.07.28 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CWP-14915-2016 -2- 10.04.2000 has been rejected. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing respondents No.3 to 5 to count the seniority of the petitioners from 10.04.2000, being the date they were deputed as Salesman and consequently directing respondents No.2 to 5 to increase the grade pay and pay scale of the petitioner, with arrears, which was equal to that of Clerks till the year 2011 on the basis of equal service period and qualification. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to submit a representation to the respondents with regard to their claim of grant of pay and allowances of the post of Salesman for the period they have performed the duties on the said post before their regularisation. 3. Dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. 4.
