The present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks the following prayers:- “It is very humbly prayed before Your Lordship to allow initiate the appropriate contempt proceedings against the Respondent for wilful disobedience of the Hon’ble Division Bench's judgement dated 04.05.2016 passed in W.P. (C) No. 542/2015. An affidavit in support is being annexed. And the petitioner shall as in duty-bound ever pray.” 3. Vide judgment dated 04.05.2016, the Division Bench passed the following directions:- “Therefore the counter offer made by the respondent is quashed. The original offer made by the petitioner be accepted by the respondent and, thereafter, the respondent shall issue purchase orders, subject to the petitioner complying with other formalities.” This is a digitally signed order. The matter was adjourned sine die vide order dated 12.02.2018 noting that the said order was under challenge by the respondent by way of SLP. 5. The matter was listed in view of the Case Flow Management Rules in the High Court of Delhi, held on 16.12.2025. 6. Learned counsel for the respondent has handed up order dated 02.03.2022 passed in Civil Appeal No.s 1731-1732 of 2022, whereby the order dated 04.05.2016, for which compliance has been sought, has been set aside in the following terms:- “Leave granted. The challenge in the present appeals is to an order passed by the High Court of Delhi on 04.05.2016 whereby the writ petition filed by the respondent was allowed and direction was issued to accept the offer of the writ petitioner and also to issue purchase orders in terms of tender invited by the appellant. In the present appeals, there was no interim order. However, learned counsel for the respondent states that it will be not possible for the respondent to supply the material on the rates submitted in the tender which was ordered to be accepted by the High Court. In view of the said fact, the order of the High Court is set aside. Consequently, the appeals are allowed. It shall be open to the appellant to proceed in accordance with law. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.” 7. In view of the above, the petition is disposed of as infructuous. 8. Order be uploaded on the website of this Court forthwith.
