(ORAL) LRs of owner of the offending vehicle are before this Court assailing the award dated 22.08.2016 passed by learned MACT, Gurdaspur, whereby compensa>on of ₹50,000/- has been awarded to the claimants who are the widow, children and mother of the deceased Sarup Masih, in a pe>>on under Sec>on 163-A of the Motor Vehicles Act. 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the appellants that the son of the appellant also died in the same accident and there is no finding as to which was the vehicle which had hit the vehicle of the appellants. 3. However, on a specific query, it is conceded by learned counsel that accident had occurred on account of user of the vehicle owned by the appellants. Once it is so, appellants are required to sa>sfy the award as it is admiEed that the vehicle was not duly insured. 4. No merit.
