   1. The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of notification No.55 of 2016 circulated vide letter No.12536 dated 26.12.2016 and in pursuance of the notification and letter, the benefit be given to the petitioner, PARUL VERMA 2026.05.07 16:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. 
 as has been given to the other similarly situated conductors working in the PEPSU Road Transport Corporation, Patiala Depot and be taken on direct contract with PRTC, as he was engaged through out-sourcing agencies. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in CWP-20944- 2011, Contract PRTC Workers Union And Ors vs. State of Punjab And Ors., which was filed by the employee’s association of PRTC, learned counsel representing respondents No.3 and 4 submits that the claim of the individual petitioners would be examined in the light of judgment rendered by this Court in Daljeet Singh & Ors. v. State of Punjab & Anr., CWP No. 5684 of 2026 decided on 22.04.2026. He has limited his prayer to the extent that the present petition be treated as a comprehensive representation and the same be decided by Managing Director of respondent-Corporation in a time bound manner by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of being heard. 3. Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent-Corporation submits that that the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by judgment rendered by this Court in Daljeet Singh and other (supra), which has been rendered in rem and further he is not in a position to controvert the aforesaid factual position. 4. Therefore, in view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of and the respondent PARUL VERMA 2026.05.07 16:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.  
 No.1/competent authority is directed to treat the writ petition as representation and consider the claim of the petitioner and pass a speaking order, after affording him an opportunity to be heard, in the light of the judgment passed by this Court in Daljeet Singh & Ors. (supra), within a period of 02 months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. Further, the decision taken thereof shall be conveyed to the petitioner. 5. Needless to say, if the petitioner is found entitled to the relief sought, the same be granted to him forthwith by respondent- Corporation/competent authority. 6. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stands disposed of.
