BEFORE THE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT Rajesh Kumar vs. H.P. Motors and Anr., Criminal Revision No. 59 of 2016 14.03.2026 Present: Mr. K.B. Khajuria, Advocate for the petitioner alongwith petitioner-Rajesh Kumar in person. Mr. Neel Kamal Sharma, Advocate for the respondent No.1 alongwith Shri Subhash Chand Executive Director/authorized representative. None for the respondent No.2-State. Respondent No.1 has authorized Shri Subhash Chand, Executive Director, Himachal Motor & General Finance Pvt. Ltd., to participate in the National Lok Adalat. Authorization letter is placed on record. The matter has been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties have voluntarily and amicably settled the matter with their free consent, will, volition and without any undue influence or misrepresentation. As per the settlement arrived at between the parties, the entire amount of compensation to the tune of Rs. 1,40,000/- (One Lac Forty Thousand Only) has been received by the complaint from the petitioner-accused and nothing is due. Thus, the parties have finally settled the matter amicably and noting is due. Thus, in view of the aforesaid terms and conditions of the settlement, the matter stands finally settled between the parties. The terms and conditions of the settlement as above have been explained to the parties/counsel in Hindi, which they have accepted as correct and appended their signature in evidence of the settlement. Members have also counter signed it. The compounding of the offence shall have an effect of acquittal. Accordingly, the petitioner-accused stands acquitted. Since the parties have adopted cost effective and speedy disposal of the matter, before the National Lok Adalat, therefore, it is not expedient to impose any compounding fee for the settlement. File be sent to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court for doing the needful/consignment.
