The matter has been listed under the heading of “For referral to the Special Mediation Drive 2.0- Mediation for the Nation”. 2. The matter was presented before this Court on 04.03.2016, 10 years back. Thereafter, it was listed on 21.07.2016 and the Co-ordinate Bench granted time for removal of defects within two weeks. The matter was taken up before the National Lok Adalat on 09.09.2023 when no one appeared for the petitioner. Again the matter was listed before the National Lok Adalat on 09.12.2023, 11.05.2024 and 14.09.2024, on all the occasions before the National Lok Adalat and no one appeared. 3. When the matter was listed on 12.03.2026, the following was directed: “3. The matter shall be listed on 23.03.2026 under the same heading indicating in the cause list that the matter is to be disposed of. If it would be possible, the Registry shall intimate this order and the next date of listing to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.” 4. Pursuant to the order dated 12.03.2026, the matter has been listed indicating that the matter is to be disposed of. The Registry has also recorded its efforts to contact learned counsel Mr. Choudhury for the petitioner, who has responded and is present in the Court. It is submitted by Mr. Choudhury, learned counsel that the brief was taken in the year around 2019 by obtaining his consent to engage any other learned counsel by the petitioner. 5. Learned counsel files memo of date, which states thus: “Since the petitioner has taken away the brief, the same may be not pressed.” (sic) The memo shall be taken on record.
