1. It has been brought to the notice of the Court by Mr. Ravinder Gupta, leaner AAG appearing on behalf of the official respondents that the petitioner has filed an affidavit before the respondents wherein he has stated that, if his case is considered for promotion in the forthcoming DPC, he would withdraw the instant writ petition. This aspect of the matter finds mention in the communication No. JMC/Lit/492 dated 19.12.2025 addressed by the Deputy Legal Remembrance, Municipal Corporation, Jammu, to the Joint Commissioner(A), Municipal Corporation, Jammu. A copy of the said communication dated 19.12.2025 has been furnished to this Court and is taken on record.
2. Thereafter, the case of the petitioner was placed before the Departmental Promotion Committee and, pursuant to the decision taken by the DPC held on 10.03.2026, the petitioner has been regularised as Sanitary Sr. No. 30

Inspector in the pay scale of 9300-34800+4260 G.P pay [level 6D (35800- 113200)], with effect from the date of clearance of his promotion case by the DPC, i.e., 10.03.2026, along with three others. A copy of the said
order dated 02.07.2026 has also been provided and furnished to this Court, which is taken on record.
3. Thus, in the light of the aforesaid development, nothing survives to be adjudicated any further in the instant petition, as the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.
4. In view of the aforesaid, the instant writ petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
5. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
