In view of the fact that the name of the Respondent-Company, Crompton Greaves Ltd., has been changed to Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., the cause title of the Petition shall be amended by the Applicant. 2. Amendment to be carried out forthwith. 3. Reverification dispensed with. 4. The amount deposited shall be released to the Respondent-Company in its new name. 11th September, 2026 5 CRIR 48 2015 5. It is submitted that the Applicant has deposited the entire compensation amount in Court. 6. The learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent confirms that the entire compensation amount has been deposited. 7. On instructions, the Respondent gives no objection to compounding the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. 8. The offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, stands compounded. 9. In view thereof, and in view of the no objection given by the Respondent, the Judgment and Order dated 03.06.2013 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, A Court, in Criminal Case No. 50/NIA/2003/A, and the Judgment and Order dated 10.06.2015 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge Panaji sitting at Ponda in Criminal Appeal No. 72/2013, are quashed and set aside. 10. The Registry of this Court and the Superintendent of the Court of Additional Sessions Judge Panaji sitting at Ponda are directed to remit the amount of compensation deposited by the 11th September, 2026 5 CRIR 48 2015 Applicant to the Respondent, along with accrued interest, if any, as per the bank details furnished by the Respondent No. 1. 11. In view of the fact that the Applicant has already undergone three months of imprisonment, the requirement of payment of costs of 7.5% to the Goa State Legal Services Authority is waived. 12. Criminal Revision Application stands disposed of. 13. This order will be digitally signed by the Private Secretary/Personal Assistant of this Court.
