BEFORE THE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT Ramesh Kumar Vs. Gold Link Finance And Resorts Pvt. LTd. Cr.R No. 126 of 2015 12.09.2026 Mr. Ramesh Kumar, petitioner in person with Mr. Rehmatullah, Advocate vice Mr. Anuj Gupta, Advocate for petitioner. Mr. Anil Thakukr, Advocate vice Ms. Seema Kaushal, Advocate for respondent. The matter have been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties have voluntarily and amicably settled the matter with their free consent, will, volition and without any undue influence or misrepresentation. As per the settlement arrived at between the parties, the petitioner-accused has deposited the entire amount of the cheque with the respondent-Company which fact has also been admitted by the counsel for the respondent. An NOC has also been issued by the respondent-Company. Accordingly matter stands finally settled between the parties. The terms and conditions of the settlement as above have been explained to the parties/counsel in Hindi, which they have accepted as correct and appended their signatures in evidence of the settlement. Members of Lok Adalat have also counter signed it. Since the composition of an offence amount to an acquittal, accordingly the petitioner/accused stands acquitted of the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. Since the parties have adopted cost effective and speedy disposal of the matter, before the National Lok Adalat, therefore, it is not expedient to impose any cost for the settlement. Copy of order be supplied to the parties free of costs. File be sent to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court for doing the needful/consignment. RO/AC (Prem Pal Ranta) Presiding Officer (B.M.
