01. Mr. Anishwar Chatterji Koul, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, has submitted that with the efflux of time and in view of the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in case titled,
“Union Territory of J&K and Ors. Vs. Saba Wani” decided on 30.04.2026 the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
02. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition is, accordingly, dismissed as having been rendered infructuous in light of the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. However, dismissal of the instant writ petition shall not come in way of petitioner to avail appropriate remedy, if available, under law.
03. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
