The brief facts of the case are that the petitioners, employees of the Puducherry Agro Service and Industries Corporation Limited (PASIC), have challenged the appointment of the fifth respondent as Consultant by proceedings dated 02.12.2013. According to the petitioners, the said appointment was made without following the prescribed procedure, without inviting applications or constitution a Selection Committee, and without obtaining necessary approvals from the competent authorities. It is further alleged that the appointment is arbitrary and in violation of the applicable rules and norms. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners submitted representations, which were not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Quo Warranto. 3. There is no representation on behalf of the respondents. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 21780 of 2014 __________ Page3 of 4 4.
