BEFORE THE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT NIC Ltd. Vs. Krishana Rajta & Ors. a/w connected matters. FAO Nos. 156 & 184 of 2014 09.05.2026 Present: Mr. Jagdish Thakur, Advocate, for the appellant(s), in FAOs No. 156 of 2014 & respojndent No.3 in FAO No. 184 of 2014 assisted by Ms. Tanu Mohil, Deputy Manager & Ms. Sunita Verma, Assistant Manager. Mr. H.C. Sharma, Advocte, vice Mr. Raman Sethi, Advocate, for the appellant in FAO No. 184 of 2014 and respondents No. 1 to 4 in FAO No. 156 of 2014. The matter have been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties have voluntarily and amicably settled the matter with their free consent, will, volition and without any undue influence or misrepresentation. As per the settlement arrived at between the parties in both the appeals as aforesaid, the Insurance Company has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs Only) as a lump sum over and above the awarded amount. Accordingly, both the appeals, i.e., FAO Nos. 156 & 184 of 2014, stand finally settled between the parties. It has also been agreed by the Insurance Company that the lump sum amount of Rs. 6,00,000/- shall be deposited within 45 days from today. The apportionment of the enhanced amount shall follow the same ratio as per the award. Thus, in view of the aforesaid terms and conditions of the settlement, the matter stands finally settled between the parties and nothing is due. The terms and conditions of the settlement as above have been explained to the parties/counsel in Hindi, which they have accepted as correct and appended their signatures in evidence of the settlement. Members have also counter signed it. File be sent to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court for doing the needful/consignment. Copy of order be supplied to the parties free of costs. The account details of both the petitioners as well as the Insurance Company-Appellant be supplied to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court in order to expedite the release of the amount.
