Prayer in the present appeal is for quashing the impugned judgment dated 15.05.2013 passed by the learned Judge, Special Court, Amritsar in Sessions Case No.548 of 2011, whereby the appellant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisionment for 12 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,25,000/- and in default of payment of fine, further undergo rigorous imprisonment for 03 years. 2. Learned State counsel on instructions has submitted that the appellant in the present case has died on 17.09.2020 and thus, the present appeal stands abated. He has placed on record communication dated 23.08.2026 received from SHO, Police Station Railway Police, Amritsar. In view of the same, the present appeal stands abated. 3. Thus, FIR in the impugned judgment dated 15.05.2013, be read as FIR No.34 dated 04.05.2011 instead of FIR No.62 dated 20.08.2011. 4. Disposed of. 5.
