The petitioner is seeking a direction for regularization of his service for the period from 08.01.2007 to 31.07.2011. This Court, while admitting the writ petition, had observed that the petitioner was kept out of employment for a period of over four years without any formal order of suspension. The petitioner's attempts to rejoin duty were not considered by the respondents on the ground that criminal proceedings were pending against the petitioner. Subsequently, the petitioner was acquitted in the said criminal case and has been submitting several representations to the respondents. 2. This Court had directed the respondents to consider the said representations and pass necessary orders, including extending all service benefits for the aforesaid period. It is further submitted that the petitioner has, in the meantime, attained the age of superannuation. As seen from the counter affidavit filed by respondent Nos.2 to 4, it is evident that the petitioner was in service as on the date of filing of the counter, and that proceedings were also issued in pursuance of the interim orders passed by this Court. 3. In view of the above considerations, no further orders are required to be passed in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N Date:09.04.2026 NKA 4 HN, J W.P.No.15616_2014 206 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION NO: 15616 of 2014 Date: 09.04.2026 NKA
