SRINIVAS DATE : 17th April 2026 P C : According to the learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 3, the relief which was sought by the petitioner in the writ petition regarding payment of retirement benefits does not survive any longer inasmuch as an amount of Rs.5,45,774/- has already been paid and the same was encashed on 10.01.2024. It is, therefore, stated that no cause survives. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, seeks time to take instructions in this regard. 3. We feel that the matter may have been rendered infructuous and therefore, we close the present proceedings with liberty to the petitioner that if the cause of action still survives in any manner, the petitioner will be at liberty 2 to have this petition restored if the needful is done within two (2) months from today. 4.
