Public Prosecutor, Assam, appearing for the State respondent. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 for granting regular bail to the petitioner, namely, Dilwar Hussain Laskar @ Dilbahar, in connection with NDPS Case No. 61/2026 arising out of Sonai P.S. Case No.
Page No.# 2/2 27/2026 (Corresponding to G.R. Case No. 454/2026) registered under Sections 21(b)/ 29 of the NDPS Act, who was arrested on 25.03.2026. Scanned copy of the TCR is received and perused. The allegation against the present petitioner is that 11.25 grams of suspected heroin was recovered from the house of the petitioner on 25.03.2026 and accordingly, the petitioner was taken into custody. The case relates to intermediate quantity and the investigation of the case is over culminating in the charge sheet. The petitioner has been detained in custody for 114 days. Having regard above and the period of detention already undergone by the petitioner and also the facts of completion of investigation, prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner named above be released on bail on furnishing a bond of 50,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned learned Trial Court, subject to the conditions that the petitioner shall participate the trial of the case as and when one commences and shall not intimidate any persons acquainted with the facts of the case, in any manner.
