JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDER 05.03.2026 1. The matter was taken up before the break, however, none appeared on behalf of the Union of India. The case was ordered to be taken up again after the break, but the position remains the same and there is no representation on behalf of the Union of India. 2. The instant appeal has been pending before this Court since 2013 and the record reveals that there has been little effort to pursue the instant appeal by Union of India. Even the order passed by this Court on 11.12.2025 has not been complied with by the Union of India. Thereafter, this Court, vide order dated 12.02.2026, granted another opportunity of one week to comply with the aforesaid order by laying a proper motion so as to furnish the details of the calculation of the amount in terms of the impugned order dated 30.12.2011 and also with __________ regard to the amount which had already been deposited before this Court earlier. 3. The needful was required to be done within a period of one week by filing an affidavit. However, the said order has also not been complied with, as is evident from the note of the Registry dated 03.03.2026. 4. Thus, an inference can be drawn that the Union of India is not interested in prosecuting the instant appeal. Accordingly, the instant appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution. 5.
