The petitioner is challenging the appointment of the 3rd respondent as an Anganwadi worker. 2.
The petitioner claims that the 3rd respondent is not a local candidate and is therefore not eligible to apply for the post of Anganwadi worker. However, respondent Nos. 1 and 2 have selected the 3rd respondent in contravention of the notification. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 submits that the Selection Committee has verified the proof of residence submitted by the 3rd respondent and was satisfied that the 3rd respondent has met all the requirements for applying to the post of Anganwadi worker. It is further submitted that, on merit, the 3rd respondent was selected. 4. Considering the submissions, the appointment of the 3rd respondent cannot be challenged on mere presumptions of the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N
