Ranjan Sharma, Judge (Oral) Petitioner [Krishan Chand], had filed the instant petition seeking following main reliefs:- “I. That the respondent Board may kindly be directed to release the pay of the petitioner from 01.01.2012 to 31.05.2012 alongwith interest @ 12% per annum, by issuing a writ of mandamus. II. That the respondent Board may also be directed to grant the pension to the petitioner and pay its arrears alongwith interest @ 12% per annum, by issuing a writ of mandamus. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? III. That the respondent Board may kindly be directed to release the amount of G.P.F., G.I.S., the amount of earned leave for 273 days and the amount of Death- cum-Retiral Gratuity etc. to the petitioner alongwith interest @ 12% per annum, by issuing writ of mandamus. IV. That the respondent Board may kindly be directed to grant next increment to the petitioner, which was due on 01.03.2012 and to pay the revised salary to the petitioner alongwith interest @ 12% per annum, by issuing writ of mandamus. V. That the respondent Board may kindly be directed to grant next promotion notionally to the petitioner and to pay the consequential benefits to the petitioner.” 2. With reference to the reliefs prayed for, this Court has passed an order on 06.03.2026, directing the Respondent-Board to file a Supplementary Affidavit, as to whether the claims still survives or not. 3. Matter was again listed on 17.04.2026 when this Court passed the following orders:- “ Pursuant to order dated 06.03.2026, Learned Counsel for the respondents-Board prays for three weeks' further time to file the necessary in terms of supplementary affidavit. However, instructions, so received by him, it is informed that the benefit of increment, which was due to the petitioner on 01.03.2012 stands released. It is further submitted that even the GIS payment amounting to Rs12,746/ which accruable from LIC Chandigarh has also been remitted to the petitioner. Let necessary affidavit be filed within two weeks. Response to the affidavit, be filed within two 2 weeks thereafter. List on 08.05.2026.” 4. On instructions, received from the petitioner, Learned Counsel for the petitioner, states that the petitioner does not intent to continue with the present proceedings. Even the details contains in the order dated 17.04.2026, are also not disputed by Learned Counsel for the petitioner. 5. In these circumstances, accepting the prayer of Learned Counsel for petitioner, the present proceedings are accordingly, closed. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
