This appeal is preferred by the Appellant-Claimant challenging the award dated 2nd May, 2011 passed by the learned Third Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Puri in M.A.C. No.355 of 1997. 3. Representative of Respondent No.2(Insurance Company – United India Insurance Company Ltd.) has agreed to settle the dispute on payment of Rs.70,000/- consolidated to which learned counsel for Appellant-Claimant has agreed. In this regard, they have filed a joint compromise sheet, which be kept on record. 4. In view of such settlement having been arrived at in Page 2 of 2. between the parties, the appeal is disposed of with direction to the Respondent No.2-Insurance Company to pay Rs.70,000/- (Rupees seventy thousand) consolidated to the Appellant- Claimant within a period of eight weeks from today, failing which, the Insurance Company will be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum from the date of default till realization.
