Initially the prayer made in the present case was for grant of increment and promotion to the petitioner as per his seniority. As is apparent from the order dated 19.04.2012, the present petition was to be heard alongwith CWP-4171 of 2002 filed by the petitioner, which was disposed of on 01.09.2014 directing the respondents to finalize the inquiry proceedings that were initiated pursuant to the charge sheet dated 22.09.2001 and pass final order thereupon. 2. Learned State Counsel submits that the petitioner having been acquitted by this Court in appeal, the disciplinary proceedings were filed on 29.12.2014. Consequently, the period of dismissal from service was treated to be spent on duty. 3. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of, however, reserving the petitioner with a liberty to submit a representation to the respondents in case any grievance still subsists.
