Karan Singla, Advocate for respondent No.2-P.R.T.C. Mr. Paul. S. Saini, Advocate for respondent No.6. *** Vide order dated 26.05.2026 on the basis of the statement made by learned counsel for the appellant a proposal was made for enhancing compensation by Rs.60,000/- over and above the amount already granted by the MACT concerned. Today, learned counsel for respondent No.2-P.R.T.C. has stated that respondent No.2- P.R.T.C has agreed to enhance the compensation only by Rs.50,000/- and not by Rs.60,000/- and has signed to that effect. Learned counsel for the appellant has agreed to this counter offer of respondent No.2-P.R.T.C. Accordingly, Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) is allowed as further compensation over and above the compensation already awarded by the MACT. We dispose of this case with a direction to Respondent No.2-P.R.T.C. to deposit a crossed-cheque in the sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) in the name of the appellant-Darshan Singh with the office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before 07.09.2026 failing which the amount will carry 9% interest p.a. from the date of this order till the cheque is deposited with the office of the Lok Adalat. The appellant's counsel/appellant may collect the cheque from the office of the Lok Adalat. Copy of the order/statement be supplied /sent to the counsel/parties and file be returned to the High Court.
