Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is working as daily wage/work charged basis as Baildar in the office of respondents at Fareozpur Range since 1998-99 and is being paid fixed monthly wages i.e. for the last more than 28 years. However, his services have not been regularized. In this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 03.06.2026 to respondent No.2, claiming regularization and to grant him regular pay scale. It is submitted that the said representation is still pending and has not been adjudicated.

Before proceeding on merits, this Court would deem it appropriate in the factual backdrop as narrated in the petition and
submissions made before this Court by counsel for the petitioner that the representation ought to have been decided, which is pending for little more than a month. The representation pending before the authority may be decided within a reasonable time.

Since the State/respondents were served with an advance copy of the petition, Mr. T.P.S. Walia, AAG, Punjab has put in appearance and submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2026 (Annexure P-4) shall be considered and decided within a period of eight weeks from today by passing a speaking order in accordance with law and a
