JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE ORDER (30.01.2024) In this petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for a direction to the respondents to grant him promotion to the post of Senior Laboratory Assistant (SLA) with effect for February, 1982. The dispute, on the face of it, is a service dispute between the petitioner-employee and his employer and, therefore, amenable to the jurisdiction of Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench [‘CAT’]. It has also been brought to the notice of this Court that on an earlier occasion, the petitioner had approached the CAT. Be that as it may, the fact remains that the dispute now raised before this Court is a service dispute amenable to the jurisdiction of the CAT, as such, it would be appropriate and in the interest of justice to transfer this petition to the CAT for adjudication. Ordered accordingly. Sr. No. 3 2 Registry shall transmit the record of the case to the CAT, Jammu Bench, which shall deal with the same in accordance with law after issuing notice to both the parties.
