None for the respondents. *** Land Reference Court vide common award dated 10.12.2007 decided three references under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and enhanced compensation for the acquired land to Rs.22,400/- per acre and also awarded Rs.10,000/- each as severance compensation in two of the three cases. State of Punjab filed appeals in the three cases for reduction in compensation awarded to the land owners. Out of the said three appeals, two appeals RFA No.4705-2008 filed against Tulshan and others and RFA-4845-2008 filed against Jhari Devi stand dismissed by Hon’ble High Court vide decision dated 16.01.2009 alongwith four other appeals, main appeal being RFA No.4702-2008 titled as Punjab State and another Vs. Amar Chand. Consequently, present RFA No.2752- 2008 filed by State of Punjab against Gian Chand etc. is covered by the aforesaid decision of Hon’ble High Court in the case of Amar Chand (supra). Resultantly as prayed for by State counsel for the appellants, this appeal is dismissed being covered by the aforesaid decision of Hon’ble High Court.
