The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking setting aside of letter dated 22.08.2007 whereby respondent No.5-Gram Panchayat was granted approval to levy transit fee/tax upon the vehicles moving through the roads of Gram Panchayat.

Learned State counsel submits that no tax/fee as impugned herein exists, thus, petition has rendered infructuous.
