In terms of the mediation settlement dated 10.03.2025, the parties have finally reached to the final step ie. payment of the last instalment by the appellant to the tune of Rs.5 lakhs. In compliance thereof, a Demand Draft bearing number 191927 drawn on Punjab National Bank Paharganj New Delhi dated 12.01.2026 in the name of complainant Meenu, has been handed over to her, copy of which is placed on record, which discharges the Appellants from all their responsibilities under the Mediation Settlement. 2. Learned Counsel for revisionist/respondent Meenu (in Crl.Rev.481/2007) submits that a sum of Rs.50,000/- in the form of an FDR in the name of revisionist Meenu was deposited with the Registry, which too is required to be given to her alongwith the interest accrued thereupon. The revisionist also says that she is not interested in pressing the present revision petition no.481/2007. The same stands dismissed as “withdrawn” in terms of the abovereferred mediation settlement. 3. It is submitted by complainant Meenu that she does not have any objection, if the revision petition bearing Crl.Rev.Petition No.431/14 filed by revisionist Surender Maggo as well as the appeal filed on behalf of Fakeer Chand & Ors. bearing Crl.Appeal No.189/2007, are allowed and judgment & sentence is set aside, to which even the State has no objection, This is a digitally signed order. So far as the remaining formalities are concerned ie. Divorce by mutual consent, has already been granted vide order dated 19.09.2025, as submitted by the parties. 5. The appellant(s) in Crl.A.No.189/2007 have “No objection” to the withdrawal of the money deposited with the Registry as has been claimed by the respondent/complainant Meenu along with the interest accrued thereupon. 6. In view of the aforesaid developments, the appeal bearing no. Crl.A.No.189/2007 (filed by Fakeer Chand and Ors.) and revision petition bearing no. Crl.Rev.Petition No.431/14 (filed by Surender Maggo & Ors) stand allowed, in view of the “No Objection” given by the State and the complainant emanating out of the mediation settlement. 7. The mediation settlement as such, stands complied with fully, as a result, the judgment of conviction and sentence dated 13.02.2007 and 26.02.2007 respectively stand set aside. 8. Both the appeal Crl.A.No.189/2007 and Revision Petition bearing number Crl.Rev.Petition(s) No.431/14 and 481/2007, stand disposed off accordingly. 9.
