Jang Singh and another Present:- Mr.Sahibjeet Singh, Advocate for Mr.S.S.Swaich, Advocate for the appellant-LR. Mr.Imran Ali, Advocate for the respondent-Insurance Company. *** On 15.01.2026, the following order was passed: “After thorough discussion between the counsel for the parties, settlement for the additional amount of Rs.4,75,000/- to be paid to the appellant was arrived at between the parties and both the counsel signed the proposal sheet also. After sometime, it was informed by the counsel for appellants that both the appellants in this case had since died. Counsel for the appellants prays for time to move an application for impleading their legal heirs. Adjourned to 12.03.2026.” Thereafter, the application for impleading the legal heirs of appellants was moved and vide order dated 02.07.2026, the application was allowed by Hon’ble High Court and the sole legal representative Labh Kaur is brought on record. Today, counsel for the appellant/LR Labh Kaur has stated that she is ready for the settlement as was agreed on 15.01.2026. MEENU KUMARI 2026.07.20 12:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment FAO-3830-2004 (O&M) AWARD OF LOK ADALAT BENCH NO.4 As agreed, (statements of learned counsel for the appellant/LR-Labh Kaur as well as counsel for the Insurance Company, separately recorded) a sum of Rs.4,75,000/- (Rupees Four Lacs and Seventy Five Thousand only) over and above the amount already awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellant-LR Labh Kaur in full and final settlement of the claim. Accordingly, we dispose of this case with a direction to the Insurance Company to deposit cheque of Rs.4,75,000/- (Rupees Four Lacs and Seventy Five Thousand only) in favour of appellant/LR-Labh Kaur with the office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before 11.09.2026. Failing compliance of the order, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order. The appellant’s counsel may collect the cheque from the office of the Lok Adalat after retaining the photocopy of the cheque/draft bearing signatures of the Counsel. Appeal stands disposed of. Copy of this order be supplied/sent to the counsel/parties and file be consigned to the record room. Pending applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
