Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE DEEPAK MANCHANDA PRESENT: None. **** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (Oral) 1. In the present petition, the challenge is to the impugned order dated 23.03.2002 (Annexure P-6) passed by respondent No. 1, whereby the election petition as well as the prayer of the petitioner for recounting of votes for the election of Sarpanch of village Panchayat Daiyar, Tehsil and District Fatehabad has been dismissed. 2. No one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. 3. A bare perusal of the file reveals that vide order dated 15.05.2002, the present petition was admitted by the Co-ordinate bench of this Court. 4. Keeping in view the fact that, as of now, the term of the election has already come to an end, coupled with the fact that nobody is appearing on behalf of the petitioner to pursue the present remedy, it can safely be presumed that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the present petition. 5. Dismissed for non-prosecution. 6. Pending civil miscellaneous application, if any, stands disposed of.
