RSA-1665-2002(O&M) IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH (231) RSA-1665-2002(O&M) Date of Decision:-26.02.2026 Piare Lal ……Appellant Versus Sardari Lal Kochhar ……Respondent CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL **** Present: None for the parties. **** AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (Oral) 1. As per the report of the Registry, notices issued to sole appellant received back with the report that he has expired. 2. A perusal of the case file reveals that on the last two consecutive dates of hearing, i.e. 04.08.2025 and 11.07.2025, neither the appellants nor anyone on their behalf appeared before the Court. Even today, there is no representation on their behalf. 3. In the aforesaid circumstances, it is evident that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present appeal pending on the docket for an indefinite period. 4. It, therefore, appears that the legal representatives of the appellant are not interested in prosecuting the present appeal. 5. Accordingly, the present appeal is dismissed in default for want of prosecution. -1- SHUBHAM 2026.02.27 10:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order RSA-1665-2002(O&M) 6. However, liberty is granted to the legal representatives of the appellant to seek revival of the appeal in accordance with law, in case any worthwhile cause survives for consideration. 7. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
