RSA-3188-2002(O&m) and XOBJC-26-C-2025(O&M) IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH (228) RSA-3188-2002(O&M) and XOBJC-26-C-2025(O&M) Date of Decision:-04.02.2026 Amarjit Singh ……Appellant Versus Paramjit Kaur and Others ……Respondents CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL **** Present: Ms. Simanpreet Dhawan, Advocate, for the appellant. None for respondents No.1 to 3/cross-objectors. **** AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (Oral) 1. As per the report of the Registry, the mediation report has been received, indicating that the matter was a non-starter. 2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that despite repeated efforts, she has not been able to establish contact with the appellants. Even today, learned counsel expresses her inability to proceed in the matter as she continues to have no instructions or communication from the appellants. 3. A perusal of the case file further reveals that none is appearing on behalf of the cross-objectors/respondents No. 1 to 3 also. 4. It, therefore, appears that neither the appellant nor the cross- objectors are interested in prosecuting the present appeal and cross- objections. SHUBHAM 2026.02.05 16:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order RSA-3188-2002(O&m) and XOBJC-26-C-2025(O&M) 5. In the aforesaid circumstances, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present appeal and cross-objections pending on the docket for an indefinite period. 6. Accordingly, the present appeal as well as the cross-objections are dismissed in default for want of prosecution. 7. However, liberty is granted to the appellant and the cross- objectors to seek revival of the appeal and cross-objections in accordance with law, in case any sufficient cause survives for consideration. 8. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
