Learned counsel for the appellant submits that he has no instructions on behalf of the appellant. 2. In compliance of order dated 19.02.2026, learned DAG, Haryana has filed a status report, which is taken on record. As per the report, compliance of the order dated 19.02.2026 passed by this Court has been duly effected. 3. The status report reveals that SI Kuldeep Singh, In-charge, Police Post No. 2, Police Station, Ambala City, was directed to verify the whereabouts of the appellant. During the course of inquiry, it is stated that the appellant was not found present; however, her husband, Sh. Kishori Lal -1- SHUBHAM 2026.04.23 10:44 I am the author of this document FAO-1299-2002(O&M) son of Sh. Ram Bharose, was found at the residence. The Investigating Officer inquired about the whereabouts of the appellant, whereupon it was disclosed that appellant Smt. Sheela Devi had expired on 18.12.2006. A photocopy of her cremation certificate was also obtained and placed on record as Annexure R-1. It is further stated that the statement of Kishori Lal, husband of the appellant, was recorded, wherein he confirmed that his wife had expired on 18.12.2006. He further stated that he is not aware of any person named Balwant Singh, nor does he have any knowledge of his wife having filed the present case in any Court. He also stated that neither he nor his family intends to pursue the present case. 4. From the above factual position, it is evident that the original appellant expired long ago, and her husband, namely Kishori Lal, has expressly conveyed his unwillingness to pursue the present appeal. 5. In view of the above, the present appeal is dismissed for non- prosecution, with liberty to the legal representatives of the appellant to seek revival of the appeal in case any cogent cause of action survives. 6. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
