As per order dated 15.01.2026, it was made clear to learned counsel for the appellants that since the appeal is pending for the past more than twenty three years, his non-appearance on the next date of hearing would entail that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the appeal and the same shall be dismissed for non-prosecution. 2. Today, learned counsel for the appellants has appeared and submits that he has no instruction in the matter as the appellants are not in contact with him. 3 In view of the above, and considering the fact that the present appeal pertains to the year 2002, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending.
