The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 20.08.1996 (Annexure P-4), passed by respondent No.3, whereby the petitioner has been dismissed from service, and subsequent orders dated 28.07.1997 (Annexure P-5) and dated 30.09.1997 (Annexure P-6), whereby the appeal and revision preferred by the petitioner, were dismissed. 2. Since there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on the last date of hearing, notice was ordered to be issued to the petitioner as well as his counsel. 3. As per office report, notice issued to the petitioner has been received back served and it has further been reported that one of the counsel for the petitioner, namely Mr. D.S. Channan, Advocate, has died on 09.05.2021, however, intimation has been given to Mr. A.R. Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today as well despite service, the present petition is dismissed for non- prosecution. 5.
