The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari for setting aside the order dated 25.08.2000 (Annexure P-4), whereby the request of the petitioner for grant of benefit under the ACP Scheme was declined. Further, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the petitioner the benefit of ACP Scheme by fixing his salary as per Annexure P-7 & P-8 and to grant all consequential benefits along with interest. 2. Learned State counsel, on instructions from Sh. Anil Joshi, Senior Assistant, PHG (HD), Punjab Home Guard, Punjab, Chandigarh, submits that the petitioner has unfortunately died during the pendency of the instant petition, however, his LRs have not been brought on record. 3. In this view of the matter, the instant petition is disposed of as having become abated.
