The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the same pay scale as given to the regular employees on the principles of 'equal pay for equal work' and to regularise the services of the petitioners as per the policy of the State Government dated 23.01.2001 (Annexure P-2). 2. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASR Makhan Singh 1562/Bathinda, CSC, Bathinda, submits that services of four petitioners, namely Sukhwinder Kumar, Dharamveer, Sumit Kumar and Mithu Singh, have been regularised and two petitioners, namely Mahan Vir and Gurcharan Singh, have retired from service and one petitioner, namely Rajo Devi, has unfortunately died. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners pleads no instructions. 4. Consequently, the present petition is disposed of.
