IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 108 CWP-11171-2001 (O&M) Date of Decision : February 17, 2026 JASWINDER SINGH -PETITIONER V/S STATE OF PUNJAB -RESPONDENT
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present: None for the petitioner. Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, A.A.G., Punjab. *** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL)
1. The instant writ petition was filed as far back as 2001. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today, and the same position prevailed on the previous date of hearing as well. It appears that either the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed or the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the writ petition.
2. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. However, liberty is reserved in favour of the petitioner to file an appropriate application seeking revival of the writ petition, if the cause of action or grievance continues to subsist.
3. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
