This appeal takes exception to the judgment and order dated 18.4.2000 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Pune in Sessions Case No. 408 of 1997. 2. In the aforesaid sessions case, the appellant was tried for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A & 306 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short “IPC”). 3. By the impugned judgment and order, the trial Court has convicted the appellant for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 306 of the IPC and sentenced him to suffer R.I. for 2 years and 5 years respectively. 4. It appears from the report submitted by the concerned police station dated 6.8.2026 that during pendency of the present appeal the appellant has expired on 6.4.2021.
