The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 17.02.2020 (Annexure P-6), passed by respondent No.1. Further, a writ of prohibition has been sought for restraining respondent No.2 from dispensing with the services of the petitioners in order to accommodate respondents No.3 to 15. 2. Learned Senior counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as all the petitioners have retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and their retiral dues have been released to them. 3.
