Perusal of the file would reveal that suit for recovery of
14,792/- filed by the respondent, was decreed by the trial Court on 15.01.1999. The First Appellate Court maintained the finding but entitling the plaintiff to interest pendente lite as well as future interest @ 2% per month. 3. Aggrieved by the aforesaid orders, the present appeal was filed by the defendant. 4. This Court vide an order dated 05.09.2003 had stayed the execution of the decree qua interest over and above 12% per annum. 5. Today, it is informed by counsel for the respondent-plaintiff that principal amount already stands paid; and that respondent-plaintiff is no longer interested in claiming the interest component. 6. In view of the aforesaid circumstances when counsel for appellant is not in contact with the appellant and respondent-plaintiff is no longer interested in claiming the interest component, this Court deem it appropriate to dispose of the present appeal.
