(ORAL) The instant appeal assails the judgment dated 27.10.1994 passed by the Court of Senior Sub Judge, Rupnagar, vide which Award dated 31.08.1993 was made a rule of the Court and a decree for recovery of Rs.12,99,348/- with simple interest @ 12% per annum was passed. 2. Today, at the outset, learned Senior counsel representing respondent No.1 has produced a demand draft dated 16.05.2026 for a sum of Rs.8,54,611/- drawn on ICICI Bank, in favour of the Executive Engineer, Provincial Division, PWD, B&R, Branch SAS Nagar. A photocopy of the said demand draft has been retained on the record of the YAG DUTT 2026.05.19 17:29 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. FAO No.906 of 1995 (O&M) -2- case whereas the original has been handed over to learned State counsel. 3. Learned State counsel states that the FDR submitted by respondent No.1 with the appellant shall be released to respondent No.1 within a period of one week from today. 4. Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that with the payment of Rs.8,54,611/- by respondent No.1, the award amount stands satisfied and since the FDR shall be returned to respondent No.1 within one week, nothing survives in the instant appeal and the same be disposed of accordingly. 5. Keeping in view the proceedings recorded above, the present appeal is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
