The dispute between the parties having been relerred for determination in the Lok Adalat held today and the parties having compromised/settled the matter and the lollowing award is passed in terms of the settlement: The initially Tribunal has awarded 17,75,148/- (Rs. Seventeen Lac And Seventy Five Thousand One Hundred Forty Eight ) alongwith interest 6oh from the date filing of the petition i.e 25-08-2017 till his realization. The Insurance Company filed an appeal against the award which is Sub-Judice before the Hon'ble High Court. During the pendency of the appeal matter was referred to the National Lok Adalat. In the Lok Adalat parties have now compromised Now the parties have settled that clairnant shall be entitled to Rs 16,65,000/- (Rs. Sixteen Lac Sixty five thousand only) alongwith 6oh Interest from the date of filing claim petition till the deposit of the award amount before the Hon'ble High Court. The Claimants are further entitled to the interest accrued @ of fixed in FDR of the award amount deposited in the bank. The amount of award already released in favor of the claimant shall be deducted from the total amount. Rest of the excess amount alongwith interest shall be reimbursed to the Insurance Cornpany Chola Mandalam MS General Insurance Co. Ltd. The parties have further agreed that name of respondent / Claimant No.3 Namely Deepak Chand shall be read as Deepak Kumar in the Award. ln terms of the above flle sent back to the Registry fbr appropriate orders.
