Contempt petition had been filed complaining that the directions issued in WP(MD) No.23841 of 2025 by order dated 19.11.2025 had not been put into effect.

However, it is informed on behalf of the respondents that proceedings under Section 78 of the HR&CE Act had been initiated with respect to the occupants of the land in S.No.104/3a and against all the occupants of the land in S.No.31/4. It had been stated that the occupant in S.No.31/4 had died necessitating bringing on record the legal representatives. It is also informed that with respect to cancellation of patta granted, proceedings are now pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer.

Cont.P(MD)No.1963 of 2026 been taken effectively within a period of 12 weeks, but, however, it is evident from the records produced on behalf of the respondents that steps had been initiated and are now pending. We would direct the respondents to proceed further in the manner known to law and ensure that the directions are complied with at the earliest.
4. The Contempt Petition stands closed. The petitioner is at liberty to move a sub application to reopen the contempt petition, if there is inordinate delay in the proceedings.
