THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND CONTEMPT CASE No.1963 of 2023 ORDER: This Contempt Case is filed against the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order in I.A.No.1 of 2022, dated 16.11.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.No.37007 of 2022. 2. This Court, by order, dated 16.11.2022 in I.A.No.1 of 2022 in W.P.No.37007 of 2022, directed the respondents as herein under:- (i) The respondents are directed to permit the petitioners to participate in the prayers of the respondent No.5- Mosque. (ii) The respondents are directed to maintain Status-quo with regard to the payments of rents to the shops mentioned in the notice, dated 05.11.2022. 3. During the course of hearing today, learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioners are permitted to participate in the prayers of Mosque and they never insisted for payments of the rents after passing interim orders by this Court. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are allowed to participate in the prayers of the Mosque. But, the respondents are insisting to pay the rents to the shops. 2 5. On query, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that though the respondents insisted to pay rents, the petitioners did not pay the rents. 6. However, it appears that whether the respondents insisted to pay rents or not, the petitioners did not pay the rents and the petitioners were permitted to participate to the prayers in the Mosque. 7. In view of the above factual position, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in the present contempt case. 8. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.
