This bail application has been filed by the petitioners namely (1) Muksed Ali @ Moksed Ali and (2) Jahirul Sk under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, seeking regular bail in connection with Gossaigaon P.S. Case No. 144/2026, registered under Sections 303(2)/ 317(2)/ 317(4) of the BNS, 2023, read with Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. The allegation against the petitioners is that they were driver and helper and were caught red-handed for illegally transporting four numbers of cows which were tied and kept inside the bolero vehicle in a cruel manner. The case diary as called for is received and perused. Having regard to the nature of the allegations as well as the materials available in the case dairy, the prayer for bail stands rejected.
