Mr.Ashish Pandey, Advocate for the claimants-respondents. *** This appeal has been filed against award dated 30.1.2016 vide which total compensation of Rs.3,46,500/- was granted in favour of claimants-respondents (LRs of deceased). Notice of motion was issued on 11.04.2016 and Hon’ble High Court stayed recovery of amount of Rs.1,32,459/-. Today, the matter has been settled between the parties. It is stated that instead paying an amount of Rs.1,32,459/-, the appellant- Insurance Company will pay an amount of Rs.1,84,516/-(rounded of 1,85,000/-) including interest to the respondents-claimants. It is further stated that statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- lying deposited in the Court be released in favour of the respondents-claimants and the remaining amount of Rs.1,85,000/- shall be paid to the claimants-respondents by the appellant-Insurance Company by way of a cheque deposited with the office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before 17.10.2026. Failing compliance of the order, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order.
